CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) is an all India law entrance exam conducted on rotation by 21 National Law Universities (NLUs) in India for admissions to their undergraduate and postgraduate law degree programmes. The first Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) was conducted in the year 2008, the Twelfth Common Law Admission Test (CLAT - 2019) is being organized by National Law University Odisha, Cuttack.
CLAT 2019, conducted this year by the CLAT Consortium of NLUs headed by NLSIU, was held on May 26, 2019 between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm.
Eligibility for UG Programme in CLAT 2019:
CLAT 2019 Educational Qualification: Any candidate who has completed 10+2 or equivalent examination is eligible to apply for CLAT 2019 Exam. Minimum marks required for different categories are listed below:
Note: Candidates appearing for their Class 12th examination in March/ April 2019 are also eligible for CLAT 2019 Exam. Such candidates need to give evidence of passing their Class 12th exam at the time of admission. Candidates who fail to fulfill this will lose their right for admission through CLAT exam.
CLAT 2019 Age Limit: There is no upper age limit to apply for CLAT 2019 Exam.
CLAT 2019 Exam Pattern
CLAT is a test of one's aptitude and reasoning abilities.
It comprises of five sections namely: Verbal Ability, Mathematics, Logical Reasoning, General Knowledge and Legal Aptitude.
Each question carries 1 mark and for every incorrect attempt, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
